    Working with Hoarders

    Presented by Cris Sgrott-Wheedleton


    Hoarding, the persistent difficulty discarding or parting with possessions, is a real struggle for many people.  In this session, NAPO organizers will learn more details about the mental difficulties that effect hoarders - and how to work effectively with people who are hoarders or have hoarding tendencies. 

    Refreshments will be served.


    Inclement Weather Policy

    In the event that bad weather is predicted on the day of a chapter meeting, NAPO-WDC will follow cancellation protocols according to that meeting's location set by Montgomery County Public Schools or Arlington County Public Schools.

    Arlington/Alexandria Neighborhood Group meets at Whole Foods, 2700 Wilson Blvd Arlington VA, upstairs, from 7 PM to 9 PM. The coordinator is Nicole Athas.

    Feel free to purchase food from the hot or cold bars, or you may bring your own food. Wine, beer, and coffee are also available for purchase.

    For new members: Welcome to NAPO-WDC!  We have two book clubs, one in Maryland and one in Virginia. They alternate months and read different books.  You are welcome to attend both or whichever one is more convenient for you.  The Virginia club meets at a home in McLean and the Maryland club meets at a home in Bethesda.

    The Book Clubs are a “chapter members-only” benefit, so we ask that you not bring guests who are not members of our chapter until they join.

    Inviting all Professional Organizers and Productivity Specialists (and all who aspire to be one) to Successful Productivity Professionals! Join your host, the Washington DC Chapter of NAPO for a day of learning, networking and fun.

    The day begins with a keynote presentation, “Making Work Work” by Julie Morgenstern, exclusively for industry members. The learning and CEU opportunities will continue throughout the day with two additional seminars on productivity. 

    In the afternoon, the public will join us for the book launch of Time to Parent, with a presentation by Julie Morgenstern focusing on her latest time management and productivity lessons. Then get your copy of her new book signed while you mix and mingle with fellow colleagues and the public at the end of day reception.

    Your ticket includes one copy of Julie’s book, Time to Parent.
