Habits Through the Lens of SHiFT®: A Compassionate Approach to Chronic Disorganization

Habits are the foundation of lasting change—but for clients affected by chronic disorganization, ADHD, and other neurodiverse needs, building and sustaining habits can feel overwhelming or even impossible. In this engaging and practical session, Jen Cazares, CPO-CD® and creator of the SHiFT® Method, will explore how to approach habit building through a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming lens.

Jen’s SHiFT® Method integrates behavior change science with sustainable routines, helping organizers and productivity professionals co-create systems that truly stick. You'll learn how to:

  • Identify the internal and external barriers to habit formation

  • Adapt habit-building strategies for clients with executive function challenges

  • Support meaningful progress through compassionate accountability

  • Apply the SHiFT® Method to guide clients from stuck to sustainable

Whether you're working with clients who struggle to follow through or looking to deepen your understanding of habit science, this session will equip you with tools to help your clients build routines that last—one small SHiFT® at a time.

Presenter:

Jen Cazares is the heart behind Livable Spaces® and the creator of the SHiFT® Method—a holistic approach to organizing that helps women in life’s next chapter clear clutter and reclaim peace of mind. As a Certified Professional Organizer in Chronic Disorganization® (CPO-CD®) and a Certified Virtual Organizing Professional™ (CVOP™), Jen empowers those navigating downsizing, caregiving, retirement, or simply feeling stuck in their space.

Her SHiFT® Method goes beyond bins and labels—it addresses the real reasons behind clutter by focusing on Social connections, Health & safety, Identity & mindset, Finances, and Time. It’s practical, compassionate, and designed for lasting change.

Jen works with individuals and the professionals who support them—like estate attorneys, fiduciaries, realtors, landlords, social workers, and fellow organizers—to bring clarity, strategy, and empathy to even the most overwhelming situations.

Whether she’s consulting on a complex case, leading a training, or offering heartfelt advice from her coastal California home, Jen brings warmth, wit, and wisdom to every interaction. Her book, Making the SHiFT®, shares real stories of transformation and serves as a guide for anyone ready to let go of clutter—and rediscover what truly matters.

Registration will open one month in advance.
