The most important thing that you have to offer your audience, your client or your prospect is your story. Many business owners these days are telling stories, and that’s a good thing.  But too many stories fall flat, fail to connect or convert, and that’s not a good thing.  When an audience is connected and engaged in a captivating story, their emotions are activated and emotionally connected customers buy more of a company’s products and services with less price sensitivity. If you want a greater emotional connection that leads to more conversion, you want to learn how to tell a captivating story.

Takeaways:

  • Understand the power of a well-told story
  • Gain more clarity in your message or story
  • Learn to structure your story for greater impact
  • Apply 5 steps to captivate your audience

Speaker Info

Star Bobatoon has over 30 years of experience as a performer on stage and screen, as an award-winning speaker and top performing trainer and workshop facilitator.  As a public speaking and storytelling coach, Star works with coaches, consultants and business owners to sharpen their communication and performance skills so they can deliver compelling messages that amplify their influence and multiply their income.

In order to master her communication and training skills, Star trained and shared the stage both nationally and internationally with motivational icon Les Brown and ran his speaker training program.  She then honed her skills as a contract trainer for a national training company, becoming the top trainer in sales and performance. Star has been honored to share the stage with Blair Singer, Suze Orman, and former first lady, Michelle Obama.

Star is currently Vice President of Training and Programs at the Master Storyteller Academy.

She believes every time you speak it’s a performance and every place you speak is a stage.  She delivers a stellar performance on every stage and trains others to do the same.

Inclement Weather Policy

In the event that bad weather is predicted on the day of a chapter meeting, NAPO-WDC will not cancel the meeting, but will instead switch to a virtual meeting. A virtual meeting conversion will be determined by the cancellation protocols for that meeting's location set by Montgomery County Public Schools or Arlington County Public Schools. If a switch takes place, meeting registrants will receive login instructions for the virtual meeting.
