Closet Design


Agenda

Topics to be covered will include:

  1. Why custom design
  2. The process of custom design and how organizers can offer it through their business
  3. Taking measurements and inventory
  4. Consulting with clients
  5. Design elements (doors, drawers, accessories, etc.)

Speaker

Naeemah Ford Goldson is a Certified Professional Organizer® and the owner of Restore Order Professional Organizing. In 2017, Naeemah founded the National Association for Black Professional Organizers, a non-profit association that seeks to empower BIPOC professional organizers and their allies. She is a member of NAPO, and the Institute for Challenging Disorganization (ICD) and has received certificates of study in Chronic Disorganization, Time Management & Productivity, and ADHD. Naeemah is also the author of Tidy Tessa, a children's book that teaches kids how to organize their things.

Naeemah is a custom designer who specializes in transforming spaces, and had the opportunity to showcase her skills on The Drew Barrymore Show. She has designed hundreds of areas around the home, including: closets, pantries, home offices, garages, media centers, mudrooms, and playrooms. Naeemah has a Bachelors in Broadcasting from the University of Nebraska and worked in the media industry before starting Restore Order in 2013. You can now listen to her as the host of the “Organize Me! Radio” podcast.

Naeemah is an Organizing Expert on local and national television, and in print media. She has previously written for the Omaha World-Herald's Momaha Blog, and has also contributed to articles for Parents, Martha Stewart Living, Heavy.com, Realtor, New York Mag, and Sisters from AARP. She has a feature in Voyage ATL and was cast in the very first episode of AOL's Extreme Organizers.

Zoom

Note: Registrants will receive Zoom registration link and meeting info in their confirmation and reminder emails. 

Zoom will allow participants to interact with each other via audio and video on their computer, tablet, or smartphone app in a real virtual meeting (optional alternative audio available by telephone) where we will be able to see and listen to each other in real dialog. 

Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of bad weather, we will only cancel if power is out for necessary meeting managers, in which case, meeting registrants will be emailed.
