Get Organized! Month - January
Previously called GO Week, NAPO initiated this now month-long event in 1991. Each year during GO Month, NAPO chapters and individual members embark on major events to bring publicity to the organizing industry. Some chapter activites have included:
- Writing feature articles
- Writing press releases
- Calling or writing reporters to encourage feature stories
- Holding contests
- Setting up “Ask the Experts” tables at office supply or book stores
- Giving speeches
- Offering public panel public presentations
- Participating in a community outreach project
Community Outreach
Each year, members of our chapter choose a
community non-profit organization to receive help. Some examples
include:

Christmas in April
- Organized and decluttered a homeowner's possessions
- Made room for volunteers to renovate the home

Jubilee Housing
- Panel presentation on organizing for residents
- Hands-on organizing sessions with residents

Martha’s Table
- Organized their clothing distribution center

- Take clients’ career clothing to special day drop-off sites
